The training will aim to understand the resilience of cities; and respond to the need for systemic change in tackling global challenges, for just green recovery and green transition, with a specific focus on COVID 19 recovery and climate change interplay.

Objective
The training goal is to bring together multi-disciplinary knowledge and perspectives, from science, policy and practice, on urban resilience as well as cross-disciplinary themes. The training will build the necessary skills and competencies to respond to the need for systemic change to tackle global challenges with a system thinking approach, focusing specifically on socio-economic recovery from COVID 19 regarding effective governance, financial management, private sector engagement and long-term resilience planning.
As part of the programme, the participants are invited to join the urban resilience community of practice, a vibrant network of professionals that has been initiated by alumni from the 2019 and 2020 training programmes.
