On 14th December UN-Habitat’s SDG Localization and Local Governments Team will launch their research on “Multilevel Governance for SDG Localization: Accelerating progress towards the localization of the SDGs and post-pandemic recovery through enhanced multilevel governance”. The research explores the dimensions and practices of multilevel governance in order to provide practical recommendations to accelerate the localization of the SDGs within the Decade of Action.

The session will be a space to share the main findings of the research with local, regional, and national governments and other stakeholders to enrich the knowledge and to foster multilevel collaboration for the achievement of the SDGs. The session will also include the presentation of the key findings of this research, including the five case studies fiches that were developed in the context of this research (Argentina, Ghana, Italy, Jordan, and the Philippines). The goal of these fiches is to dig deeper into real-world practices, deriving practical implications and take-overs from their experience as “living labs”.
