Global Partnership Co-Chairs Release Statement on COVID-19

The Global Partnership Co-Chairs' have recently issued a statement to guide the international COVID-19 response. Their new 2-year work plan (2020 – 2022) addresses COVID-19 as an additional challenge to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda.

In response to COVID-19 the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC), a multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to effective development, has recently issued a statement to guide international action and limit the human and economic costs of the crisis. Guided by principles of development effectiveness, the Co-Chairs of the GPEDC advocate for a coordinated COVID-19 response based on country ownership, inclusive partnerships, a focus on results and transparency and accountability in order to mitigate the impacts of the pandemic, accelerate the recovery of the most affected communities and ensure maximum impact, inclusivity and sustainability. In this context, the GPEDC's newly launched 2-year work plan (2020 – 2022) addresses COVID-19 as an additional challenge to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
