Let’s #TurnitAround! Join the Global Week to #ACT4SDGs (18 - 26.09.2020)
The devastating social, economic and health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are felt around the globe. Everywhere on the planet people are coming together in solidarity during the meeting of world leaders at the UN General Assembly to foster action on the local, regional and national level to create a better and more resilient future.
The universal plan for a just and sustainable recovery from the pandemic, as well as for ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change has already been developed: the Sustainable Development Goals. Five of the 15 years have passed since 193 states decided to endorse these Goals. This represents the perfect moment for people, organisations and communities to take action and demand progress from local and global leaders.
Join the 2020 Global Week to #Act4SDGs, organized by the UN SDG Action Campaign, Action for Sustainable Development and Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) from September 18 - 26 to raise awareness, accountability and action for the SDGs.
