SDG Action Zone Launches Call for Application for this Year’s UN General Assembly

We are facing a critical point of transformation. During the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has become painfully clear that the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Business as usual approaches to economic development and a lack of consideration towards social and ecological consequences have left too many behind, making a global change of mind ever more urgent.
That’s why the SDG Action Zone at this year’s UN General Assembly (UNGA) will bring together traditional UN constituencies, but also people who have never attended the UNGA before – to think differently, inspire solutions and mobilise for collective action. As a combination of live broadcasts and online sessions, the SDG Action Zone will dive into three core areas: People, Planet and Partnership. Everyone, everywhere is invited to participate – to make a green and sustainable recovery possible.
The application will close on 3 August 2020. For more information on the event, please click here.
