In July 2020, UCLG, on behalf of the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, will present its fourth annual report on the role of local and regional governments for the localisation of the SDGs to the High-Level Political Forum.

In preparation for the 2020 report, UCLG is calling on regional sections, national associations of local and regional governments and members, local governments and regions to share information, experiences or case studies on their efforts to implement the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.

The local governments and national associations, from the 51 countries that have committed to submit their national reviews to the 2020 HLPF, are particularly encouraged to participate. A full list of countries by region is available here.

For this purpose, UCLG has developed a twelve-page survey, which can either be downloaded or completed online. The responses have to be submitted online or to gold@uclg.org by the 20 of April, 2020.

The theme of the 2020 HLPF is "Accelerated action and transformative pathways: realizing the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development". Therefore, the focus of UCLG’s 2020 HLPF report will be on innovative actions or integrated initiatives.
