Webinar: Role of Community Mediation and Peace-Building - Experience of Pro-Public, Nepal

The historical and ongoing transitions in the region emphasise the need to focus on aspects of conflict transformation and peace building. The topic has gained traction in the network, with interest in exploring more systematically the role and capacities of local governments and other institutions to this end.

LOGIN Asia initiates exchange on this theme through the webinar on ‘Community Mediation and Peace-Building’, drawing on the experience and practice of Pro-Public, a member institution in Nepal. The case of Nepal offers some relevant insights, with experience in supporting local governments for strengthening peace and social harmony at local level, using tools of community mediation and dialogue. Pro Public, a leading civil society organization in Nepal that works with local government and political parties on these issues, will present insights from the country.
