Webinar: Demographic Trends and Urbanization

As part of a learning series for World Bank Staff, the Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience & Land Global Practice (GPURL) at World Bank hosts three sessions on participatory urban design, disaster and urban resiliency for the housing sector, and demographic trends and urbanisation.

This webinar addresses key regional demographic trends and its confluence with urbanisation. By projecting a future outlook, this webinar discusses the implications that the diverse trends will have for cities’ decision making on public spending, infrastructure investments and urban design. Central to this webinar is a report recently delivered by the Global Unit, intended as a roadmap for national and city governments. The report aims to make underlying dynamics and factor more easily understandable.
