The DeLoG Knowledge and Dialogue Days will start with a keynote speech by Kah Walla, a political activist and entrepreneur from Cameroon, on reduced democratic spaces, gender issues on local level, and how we should fail forward. In the following days, new members of the DeLoG network will showcase their work and highlight DeLoGs capacity to bring together the triangle of local governments, civil society, and development partners to strengthen decentralisation and local governance.
On the 29th November the Federation of Canadian Municipalities which includes more than 2,000 municipalities across Canada, will give insights about the organisation’s work. Southern Voice, an open platform for think tanks, that contributes to the global dialogue on the SDG with policy analysis by researchers from Global South countries, will hold a session on the 30th November 2022. During the session on the 1st December 2022, the Democracy Works Foundation, a southern African non-profit organisation focused on democracy development, will present its work. The last public session will be held on 8th December 2022 with the CMBS Network, a group of researchers focusing on local level data and local development indicators.
In addition to the publicly accessible programme, DeLoG members and partners are invited to take part in strategic sessions, country case studies and exclusive networking events. Reports of these sessions will be available on our website.
